Shoichi Sakurai's Wall Calligraphy - "PEACE" - 2017

Shoichi Sakurai's artwork usually centers around abandoned or discarded materials, allowing unique aspects of the object to be celebrated. He took a different direction with this piece of bold black and white modern art:
Using gesso, sumi-ink and acrylics, he created his original calligraphy of the Kanji character "PEACE."
Gesso, sumi, acrylic, wood panel.
H: 107cm, W: 42cm, D: 2.5cm.
